In an effort to migrate from windows media player on the PC to ITunes on the Mac I needed to find a program that would convert the files to MP3 and remove the DRM(digital writes management) protection from the music I purchased from walmart.com. Now, before I go any further Let me be very clear that the only reason I even hunted for this was because ITunes wil not play WMA protected files. I have found ITunes much easier to use then windows media and wanted to move my collection of music purchased from Walmart.com to ITunes. The software is called WMA Convert and cost $14.00 well worth the price. Do a google search and it can be found. It's easy to use and does the job ratehr nicely. I now have my music on ITunes and can play the songs using the Mac. It's just Awesome and so easy to use.
Just so you know, unprotected music has nothing to do with converting WMA's to be played in ITunes.
Agreed however, if it is protected by DRM it's useless. Since the Mac is more accessible and ITunes is coming together I am finding it extremely easy to deal with music and desire to use ITunes. Hoever, I still prefer to buy my music from Walmart.com until ITunes becomes totally accesible. This enables me to have both.
